Absolute Essentials Program

About The Program

Absolute Essentials Program is a Two Year Program carefully designed to cover all necessary foundational groundwork in Islamic Studies. No Muslim should be without these basic knowledge and skills.

The program offers a few elective courses to enhance as well as broaden one’s Islamic academics.

Please note: Students may enroll in single courses, without needing to enroll in all courses as a batch. The teachers will keep a track of each student grading in respective courses. Once all courses are cleared, the student may then apply for a completion certificate.

Year 1 (Weekend)

  • Arabic (Grammar & Syntax)
  • Aqīda (Theology)
  • Fiqh (Purification, Prayer)
  • Tajwīd Sciences (Qur’an Recitational Sciences)
  • Hadīth (Memorization, Chain of narration and Explanation)

Year 2 (Weekend) [Year 2 courses may have pre-requisites from Year 1 Courses]

  • Arabic (Grammar & Syntax)
  • Fiqh (Fasting, Alms/Charity, Pilgrimage)
  • Usul ul Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence)
  • Qur’an Translation & Exegesis (Explanation of verses),
  • Seerah & Tareekh (The Prophet’s Life and Islamic History)

This program will cover all these fields to benefit the dedicated students in not only acquiring the theoretical material, but also spending time in the physical company of scholars while doing so.

Absolute Essentials Calendar 2024/2025

Minimum Enrolment per Course:

  1. The program will accommodate both On-Site as well as On-Line students (Zoom).
  2. Maximum accommodation for On-Site students is: 20 Males | 7 Females
  3. Due to lack of female instructor, we may not be able to provide courses requiring active interaction like Arabic Sarf and Tajweed etc.

AEP is an intensive Weekend Program. While we welcome every eager individual to benefit from this opportunity, please be advised that the pace and depth of material will be challenging. The ideal student is expected to be punctual, dedicated and willing to spend a good number of hours outside class for exercises and assignments.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in the English language
  2. Punctuality is a must
  3. Year 1 will start Arabic learning from a beginner level. However, the student should have rudimentary affinity and knowledge of alphabets, writing and basic pronunciation of Qur’an.
  4. Minimum Age: 14+ [The program is also ideal for adults]
  5. Decent Islamic dress code for a sanctified environment
