Fiqh quiz threads/sub-forum?
« on: December 15, 2013, 06:30:53 PM »
As-salamu-'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem

I was thinking that since this is a highly academic and 'fiqh-inlined' forum, we can test each others knowledge through fiqh exams that we ourselves make up.

Here's how it can work:

A person can make a thread focusing on one topic of fiqh (e.g. salah, tahaarah, talaq/nikah etc...) and make-up various questions and scenarios after which the other members will have to answer as much of them correctly as they can (without looking through any books of fiqh or using shaykh Google). The person who gets the highest "grade" will make up the next "exam" for a different topic.

Mufti Sahib can take part in this by monitoring the questions and answers and pointing out any mistakes. Since I believe most (if not all) members follow the Hanafi madhab, there will be no conflict of madhabs when it comes to the question. So thats a non-issue right away.

What do you guys think?

JazakAllah for taking the time to read.
Wassalam.

Wa alaikum assalaam.

Welcome to the forums bro. Its a great suggestion. InshaAllah we will see if we can try to integrate a quiz functionality into the forums. But do have patience and give us some time. Since the Forum is recently setup, Lots of basic works are being done in the background with the forum inorder to make it smooth running.

Requesting Duas.

JazakAllah for the reply brother.

I wasn't necessarily suggesting you create a separate quiz function in the forum. The quizzes will be made on normal threads. Its just that having a separate section for them would make things a lot more organized. This is just a little thing I thought would help spread knowledge from user to user.

May Allah make this forum beneficial, and a source of knowledge for all. Ameen.

No need to make a new function. Just suggesting that we do this here as it will help us expand our knowledge of fiqh.

Assalamu'alaikum.

I was thinking, for now why not just start thread by ourselves just like trivia game, as fiqh quiz is not allowed on MS but here we can do. what do you think?
